• Kids Win at SECURE Stampede Charity Party

    July 2018

On Wednesday July 11, SECURE hosted its third annual Stampede Charity Party. SECURE brought together employees, clients, friends and corporate sponsors to raise money for two local charities; KidSport and Providence. The charity party represents SECURE's commitment towards helping the communities in which we live and work in.

Throughout the day the party saw over 750 attendees up on the patio, guests enjoyed great food, live music and as always, a little water gun action to help cool things down. Attendees were stomping their boots and letting their hair hang low rocking out to iconic Canadian rock and blues singer and songwriter Colin James.

This year SECURE raised a total of $406,462.50. Corporate sponsors raised $226,462.50 and $180,000 was raised through donations leading up to the event and at the doors. Friends of SECURE, Kevin and Trina Olson and Kyklopes Capital Management generously matched all donations made to Providence.

"This is the third year doing this party for the kids and they just keep getting better and better," says Rene Amirault, SECURE's president. "I am so grateful for all the support from our customers, Kevin and Trina who generously match all dollars raised for providence and finally, my beautiful wife who helped us top up the donation to beat our goal. Ultimately it's the kids who will benefit from this."

    Providence

    KidSport

KidSport believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sport. KidSport is a national non-profit organization that provides support to children to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport. KidSport provides financial assistance for registration fees and provides access to equipment for kids up to the age of 18.
